Trendbarometer Migration and Asylum 2025 – Recruitment of skilled workers and labour market integration: gender-specific challenges and solutions

Organizer: EMN Austria

26 June 2025, 13:00 – 15:30, online (German)

The event will focus on current migration policy challenges within the labour market, from a gender perspective.

The basis for this is the forthcoming “EMN Austria Asylum and Migration Overview 2024”, which provides a comprehensive overview of migration and asylum-related developments and discussions in 2024. Together with you and our experts, we would like to discuss the following questions, among others:

  • Which occupational areas, where there is a shortage of labour, are particularly dominated by migrant women, and in which are women underrepresented?
  • What measures exist to successfully recruit women from third countries and to keep them?
  • What is the employment situation and what are the working conditions of migrant women in the Austrian labour market?
  • What are the causes of the untapped labour market potential of women from third countries in Austria?
  • What measures exist to effectively promote the labour market integration (and labour market protection) of women with a migration background?

The detailed agenda can be found here (in German).
