The National Steering Committee was established to provide the Austrian National Contact Point within the European Migration Network with a broad base of expertise in the field of academic research on migration and asylum. It comprises representatives from several ministries, interest groups and research institutions. The Steering Committee meets once a year and is involved in the activities of the Austrian National Contact Point. The 8th meeting of the Steering Committee took place on 3 December 2015 and was devoted to mutual discussion and the research topics for the coming year.
