On 25 November 2016, the members of the Steering Committee of Austria’s National Contact Point within the European Migration Network (EMN) met for their annual meeting, now the 9th such meeting.
The National Steering Committee was established to anchor the Austrian National Contact Point in the field of academic research alongside those stakeholders whose work focuses on migration and asylum. The Steering Committee comprises representatives from several ministries, interest groups and research institutions. During the last meeting, attention was drawn to specific developments and events within the EMN in 2016. The Steering Committee members were then briefed on the new EMN research topics for 2017.
