On 24 July 2012, the Austrian National Contact Point within the European Migration Network organised its first national conference of the year at the Albert Schweitzer Haus. The conference provided an overview of irregular work and the exploitation of migrants in Austria from a research perspective and, in this context, presented the initiative ‘Berlin Alliance against Human Trafficking for the Purpose of Labour Exploitation’ as a practical model. Following this, experts discussed opportunities for cooperation in Austria to identify victims of labour exploitation.
