The Austrian National Contact Point within the EMN contributed once again to the DialogForum at Danube University Krems in 2018. Building on a study recently published by the EMN, the National Contact Point organized a panel focusing on different approaches in dealing with unaccompanied minors following status determination in selected EU Member States.
The panel will focus on the rights of residence of unaccompanied minors, as well as measures and regulations in the areas of care and integration.
The panel took place on 19 September 2018 and was moderated by Julia Rutz (Head of the Research and Migration Law Unit, IOM). Invitd panellists included researchers from the National Contact Points in Germany (Julian Tangermann, Federal Office for Migration and Refugees), Sweden (Jonas Hols, Swedish Migration Agency) and Austria (Maria-Alexandra Bassermann, IOM).
