To mark the publication of the new EMN study on Seasonal Workers from Third Countries in Austria, EMN Austria hosted an expert discussion. In a small group setting, we discussed the findings of the study for Austria and at EU level together with the study’s interview partners and other relevant stakeholders. We also explored why there is a need for foreign seasonal workers (from third countries) in Austria and how their rights can be safeguarded.
The discussion provided an opportunity to delve deeper into the key findings of the studies and to examine current challenges as well as possible policy approaches in the field of seasonal employment.
