On 18 December 2012, the Austrian National Contact Point of the European Migration Network organised its second national conference at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. The conference presented the findings of this year’s EMN study, “Immigration of International Students from Third Countries to the EU“. The event began by examining the situation from the EU’s perspective and the study’s influence on European policy development. In addition to specific research findings from selected EU Member States, the conference addressed access to the labour market for students and graduates from third countries. Experts then discussed the extent to which Austria is a destination of choice for international students.
