In light of persistent skills mismatch among third-country nationals in the EU, this EMN-OECD study provides a comparative analysis of this phenomenon. Drawing on input from 25 EMN Member Countries and an analysis by the OECD, it examines key drivers of skills mismatch, including limited language proficiency, complex recognition procedures and employer-side barriers. The study identifies recurring challenges, while also highlighting a variety of good practices. For Austria and other EMN Countries, the study offers key insights to support the development of coherent, effective skills matching policies.
