Migrant women face unique barriers shaped by gender, migration status and socio-economic factors, influencing their employment opportunities, access to services and participation in public life. Understanding these intersecting challenges is essential for designing effective integration policies.
The publication reviews the situation of migrant women across EMN Member and Observer Countries, focusing on labour market participation, education, health, social inclusion and the impact of COVID-19. It highlights persistent inequalities as well as promising targeted support measures. The analysis provides insights for strengthening gender-sensitive integration strategies in Austria and beyond.
