Organizing events on migration and asylum is one of the main activities of the EMN and the National Contact Points. The events aim, among other things, to bring the EMN and its work closer to various stakeholders inside and outside the EU. EMN representatives often take on the role not only of organizers but also of moderators. With this in mind, EMN Austria hosted two half-day workshops on 30 November and 6 December 2022 to learn “state-of-the-art” moderation techniques for online, hybrid and physical events. Under the guidance of a professional moderation trainer, the 12 participants received an introduction to the tasks and responsibilities of moderators and were able to further consolidate the newly learned skills in role plays.
