Language and literacy support measures for adult beneficiaries of international protection
Language acquisition is a key component of integration. Beneficiaries of international protection have different language skills and learning needs, which are influenced by various factors (e.g. gender, age, flight, trauma) and face certain barriers when accessing language programmes. The EMN-Council of Europe-OECD Inform analyses the most important language and literacy support measures in the 24 participating EMN Member and Observer Countries and discusses various key questions, such as how literacy and other learning needs of the target group are addressed.
