In cooperation with the Federation of Austrian Industries and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, EMN Austria hosted a kick-off event on 11 April entitled: Global Skills Partnerships in Austria. During the event, we discussed the potential of a Global Skills Partnership (GSP) as a sustainable tool for meeting labour demand in Austria. The findings of the EMN Inform published in March on this topic were also presented. The selected participants at the event included stakeholders from the private and public sectors, business interest groups, and representatives from NGOs, research and academia. Our aim was to familiarise participants with the concept of GSPs. Furthermore, some of the most pressing questions relating to the implementation of GSPs were addressed, and the next steps towards developing an Austrian GSP were outlined.
